Castlerea Gardai are appealing for information following a road traffic collision on Sunday afternoon which claimed the life of an elderly lady.
The female driver of the car who was from the Ballymahon area in Longford, was involved in a single vehicle collision at Corrastoona Beg, Castlerea was in her eighties.
The woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving veered off the road and hit a wall.
She was brought to University Hospital Galway where she passed away yesterday.
