Weather warning in place today
A weather warning has been issued for the North West and Connacht including Roscommon today Monday 1st June.
Wet and very windy today, with rain spreading from the west to all areas, turning heavy in many areas, with a risk of flooding along with strong and very gusty southerly winds. The winds will be strongest and the rain heaviest this afternoon. Highest 11 to 14 degrees.
Tonight will be mainly dry at first, with clear intervals, but cloud will increase from the south, bringing patches of rain and drizzle, with hill and coastal fog, though Ulster will remain mostly dry and clear. Minimum temperatures 4 to 8 Celsius, coldest in the north. Winds mostly light to moderate southwesterly, backing southerly, but strong westerly winds for a time in northern coastal areas
