The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland steam train paid a visit to Boyle on Sunday.
Arriving at Boyle station 90 minutes behind schedule, it was met by many enthusiasts who despite the delay, were delighted to see a part of history once again on the Dublin Sligo line.
The train remained in Boyle for a period of time before returing to Connolly station later Sunday evening.
