I am currently checking my ancestry and have come to a block.
My great grandmother was from Boyle (Catherine Tiernan) and she was born in 1866.
Catherine married a John McCarthy, they both moved and settled in St Helens, Merseyside ( was Lancashire).
l did a DNA test and found I matched a Joseph Tiernan, a descendant of Michael Tiernan.
Any information would be much appreciated.
