Three local attractions have made the top ten in the Irish Independent Reader Travel Awards.
Lough Key Forest Park and Zipit Forest Adventures were voted into the top ten in the ‘Best Activity Provider’ section of the awards. The overall winner was Castlecomer Discovery Park.
Beirne’s of Battlebridge was voted into the top ten in the ‘Best Campsite’ section, with the Wild Atlantic Camp in Co Donegal coming out on top.
According to the judges there were “tens of thousands of nominations and comments providing a priceless insight into holiday trends over the past two years”.

Irelands Best Hotel – Glenlo Abbey. Co. Galway
Ireland’s Best Visitor Attraction – The Waterford Greenway
Ireland’s Best Pet Friendly Stay – The Twelve Hotel, Co. Galway
