‘The Irish at Home & Abroad’ in Boyle
Local lady, Ann Coen (nee Smith) will soon be returning to her native Boyle with the TV show ‘The Irish at Home and Abroad’.
The Irish at Home & Abroad is an hour-long magazine style TV programme that airs on Sky 212 and Freesat 161 every Thursday night at 7pm.
Ann, a frequent visitor to Boyle and who is the producer on the show will be exploring her town with show presenter Henry McGlade and meeting up with local historians, business people, musicians, artists and photographers to get an insight to how the town is developing and promoting itself to the diaspora.
Over the next few weeks Ann will be contacting local business people to know how best the show can promote their business and highlight the facilities of the town and surrounding areas.
Speaking to Boyletoday.com Ann said “This is a very exciting part of my role on the show. To be able to go back to my home town and help showcase the town across Ireland, UK and Europe is a real pleasure and I am looking forward to meeting up with some old friends and hopefully making new ones”
