In an act of petty theft in Boyle, the crib in the town was vandalised last night.
The statue of the infant Jesus was stolen from the crib in an act that has met with widespread anger and upset locally.
It is understood CCTV footage is being viewed from the area which will identify the culprit(s).

Alternatively, the statue can be returned without further action being taken.
