St Joseph’s BNS have retained the Large Schools Spar FAI 5-a side County Title which they had won last year.
The competition was played in a blitz format in Lecarow on Tuesday and after many a titanic struggle, they eventually defeated a very gallant Cloonfad NS by 2:1 after a superb final.
Many people present on the day were very complimentary of the standard of soccer and sportsmanship shown by the boys.
This also reflects on the amount of underage work being done by their club Boyle Celtic and other clubs in the town.
St Joseph’s BNS would like to thank Boyle Celtic for allowing them use the Astroturf for their training.
The team go forward to play in a Connacht Final in early May.
