Met Eireann have issued a status yellow snow and ice warning for county Roscommon.
The warning comes into effect from midnight Wednesday with 2 to 4 cm of snow forecast.
The warning remains until midnight Thursday night.
There is also a status orange snow-ice warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo where snow accumulations could reach between four and eight centimetres.
