DCU are into the Sigerson Cup Final after a dramatic win over UCD at the Mardyke in Cork.
Boyle man and DCU’s Enda Smith saw his second half injury time penalty saved by Laoisman Eoghan Keogh but Smith tucked away the rebound as DCU won by 2-8 to 0-11.
Enda scored 2-3 of the 2-8 total for DCU.
Laois’ Conor Meredith and Colm Begley scored a point each for DCU in the north versus south Dublin battle while Westmeath’s John Heslin kicked five points for UCD.
UCC overcame Carlow IT to meet DCU in Saturday’s final.
