‘Small Town, Big Story’ to air this evening on Sky TV

Boyle man Chris O’Dowd’s new TV series ‘Small Town, Big Story’ will air this evening Thursday February 27th on Sky Atlantic.

Filming of the six part series was undertaken in Boyle and Wicklow in 2023 with Chris creating, directing and staring in the comedy that also includes Christina Hendricks (Good Girls, Mad Men) and Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon).

The series is about the fictional town of Drumbán, a rural village of rattled misfits on the border of Ireland and another world, and what happens when a Hollywood production rolls into town and throws the spotlight on a secret that’s been kept hidden since the eve of the Millennium

Speaking about the series, Chris said: “I bloody love television, and am most engrossed by stories that bring the remarkable to the everyday. I hope we’ve made a beautiful show that an audience will find funny and will keep people on the edge of their seats…and beyond.”

You can see a preview here with the first episode airing at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
