The 6th annual “Secret Village” Festival takes place in Ballaghaderreen this weekend.
Described by the organisers as the “Electric Picnic of the West”, the festival is a mixture of arts, music and culture and will take place on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th.
Barra O Flanniagh & Mick Roddy founded the festival five years ago when they wanted to bring some life back into Ballaghaderreen and what they have done is create a little pocket universe of music, freedom, artistic expression, natural spiritualism and mysticism.
Fifty live bands will perform on four stages during the event which will be held in woodlands adjacent to Spells Bar in the town.
