Santa arrived in style this evening, leaving his temporary home at the Model Railway in the Trojan Building to make the short journey to The Crescent to officially switch on the town’s Christmas lights.
A large and appreciative crowd waited for the blue lights and sirens of the Boyle Fire Brigade who brought Santa on his journey. Indeed the Fire Brigade nearly out did Santa in popularity with the younger folk!
After meeting and greeting a larger number of children in what was a real festive atmosphere, Santa officially turned on the Boyle Christmas lights before making his way back to the Model Railway where he will meet all the boys and girls again tomorrow and the coming weekends.
Well done to all involved including the progressive Men’s Shed group and Model Railway grouping on making the day happen.
