Roscommon to house refugees
Roscommon, Carrick on Shannon and Sligo are among the 26 refugee housing sites announced by Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald.
90 parcels of land had initally been identified to house the refugees but only 26 were selected as been suitable.
Ireland has committed to accepting 4,000 refugees over the next two years in response to the Syrian crisis.
62 further refugees are expected to arrive from Syria before the end of 2015 in addition to the 129 from Jordan and Lebanon who came to Ireland this year.
