The official opening of Roscommon Lamb Festival 2019 takes place this morning by Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council Ivan Connaughton at 11am at Roscommon Mart.
Later this evening at 8pm there will be the ‘Thanksgiving for the Flocks of the Field’ eceumnical serivce at 8pmin St Coman’s Church of Ireland, Roscommon
This is an ecumenical service of thanksgiving for, and blessing on, the flocks of sheep and their shepherds in our county.
Everyone welcome. Lasting about one hour.
The Festival runs through until Monday May 6th.
