The Co. Roscommon Calendar of Events 2017 is now live!
This year all festival and event organisers are asked to make an online submission of the details of their festival or event.
Once submitted and verified the event details will be made accessible to members of the public through a Calender of Events mobile and web application live on the Council’s website.
This new approach allows us to better capture, and locate, the many events and festivals that will be taking place throughout the county during the year and allows the promotion to potential visitors from both home and abroad.
The online submission form is relatively simple. There are a few key areas you should pay attention to:
The location of your event/festival is key and it is important that your location is as accurate as possible – you can submit an Eircode and / or pick your location from the map. It would be brilliant if you could identify the exact building, area of the town/village etc as this will appear on the website. This is vital if you want visitors from outside the area to navigate correctly to your event!
You also have the opportunity to attach a photograph to the form. Please make sure it’s a good quality photograph that showcases the theme of your event and would encourage people to visit your event or festival.

Submit the form when you have completed it and you’ll be able to review your event/festival online within a short time.
Please note that all events submitted on the online form will be vetted by Roscommon County Council in advance of being published online – Roscommon County Council reserves the right to refuse publication.
