The ‘Knocknarea’ Diesel Train excursion will pass through Boyle on Friday afternoon.
The traditional one-day diesel excursion is part of the Society’s International Railtour Weekend and is a celebration of the magnificent and iconic 071 class diesel locomotives.
This railtour starts from Dublin Connolly and takes the former Midland Great Western main line to Mullingar, then on to the former branch to Sligo.
