Mayo Roscommon Hospice has advised the public that they do not carry out door to door collections.
They have also requested the public to be cautious of anyone coming to their door purporting to collect money for Mayo Roscommon Hospice.
The warning comes following allegations that a man has been calling to households in West Roscommon and parts of Mayo purporting to collect money for the Hospice.
It is alleged the man was wearing a Mayo /Roscommon Hospice jacket or shirt and driving a a grey BMW car.
Gardai have been notified.
