Postal services to continue after Boyle building sale
An Post has confirmed to Boyletoday.com that postal services in Boyle will not be affected by the sale of the building on Shop Street.
Agents Cushman and Wakefield are quoting €130,000 for the three storey mixed use property, one of 12 An Post owned properties to go on the market nationwide.
In a statement issued last month to Boyletoday.com a spokesperson for An Post denied rumours circulating at the time that the postal service was moving from Boyle:
“It is certainly not the case that our post office in Boyle will either move or close”.
“What is happening is that the Boyle premises at Shop Street will be offered for sale but with the post office remaining in place”.
“The Boyle post office building is a large premises with the post office occupying just one part of the total property”.
“Boyle is one of 14 such locations all over the country where the premises is being offered for sale with the post office itself remaining ‘in situ’” the spokesperson said.
The other An Post buildings for sale are located in Skibbereen, Bantry, Kinsale, Macroom, Athenry, Loughrea, Tuam, Ballyhaunis, Westport, Roscrea, and Thurles.
