No extra train for Boyle GAA fans
Updated: There is disappointment among GAA fans travelling by rail from Boyle to Dublin for this Sunday’s All Ireland Quarter Final football match.
It has transpired that Irish Rail will not be providing an extra train on the Dublin Sligo line to accommodate fans.
Instead, Irish Rail have said they will delay the scheduled departure of the 16.00 ex Connolly until 18.05.
With the Roscommon Mayo game throwing in at 16.00, this does not give fans much time to get to Connolly Station for this departure.
In contrast, the company are providing additional services on the Galway to Heuston line.
Irish Rail are advising on their website that certain pricing structures on the 11.33 and 13.33 services from Boyle on Sunday are already “sold out”.
The 9.33 service is listed as “not available online, but might be available at the booking office”
