Next weekends’ Night and Day Festival is delighted to announce a renewal of its partnership with the Brothers of Charity Services – Roscommon.
Volunteers from the Brothers of Charity Services Roscommon, will again play an active role in making Night and Day a more friendly and inclusive festival.
On Saturday 29th of June, 10 volunteer pairs will be on site assisting in a range of roles ranging from wristband allocation, supervising entrances, engaging people in the family friendly area, litter picking and supporting on site workshops.
The partnership ensures that persons supported across Co. Roscommon get an opportunity to participate in volunteering at a music festival in their community and are exposed to new experiences that they might not otherwise.
Edel Crehan (Volunteer Co-Ordinator) and Niamh O’ Connor (Volunteer Support Worker) Brothers of Charity Services Roscommon said: “The Night and Day festival is a fantastic opportunity for the people we support to participate in their local community, and live the lives they wish. Each person will be given an opportunity to experience a fun, lively festival, while providing an important service role for the festival. Our organisation is very proud to be a part of this Festival and we hope to further our involvement and extend this participation even further for 2025”.
Co-founder of Night and Day Craig Hughes added: “We are delighted that volunteers from the Brothers of Charity Services – Roscommon will again be taking an active and important role in enhancing the experience of festival goers at Night and Day. We recognise the important role that the Brothers of Charity Services play in assisting people to reach their full potential and play an active role in their communities and are happy to be able to facilitate this great work.”
Night and Day Festival will take place in Boyle’s Lough Key Forest Park from Friday June 28th to Sunday June 30th.
