The launch will take place on Saturday night of ‘The Landed Estates of County Roscommon’, a book packed full of photographs and information on the great houses of County Roscommon.
The book contains 273 pages in full colour, photos of 97 houses, 12 full chapters on the 12 most historical landed estates in the county, approximately 450 photos, both old and new, and many very rare photos from private family collections.
The book also contains a beautifully written foreword by Pyers O’Conor-Nash of Clonalis House, descendant of the O’Conor Kings of Connacht and High Kings of Ireland.
The launch, by Tourism Officer Emer O’Dowd will be held in Gleeson’s, The Square, Roscommon, commencing at 6pm.
