The N4, 1km north of Castlebaldwin closed shortly after 10am Saturday to facilitate the removal of a vehicle.
It reopend later Saturday afternoon but was reduced to a single lane.
Westbound traffic was diverted via Ballymote while eastbound diversions were in place via Riverstown.
Fire Brigade, Gardai and Council crews attended the scene where the articulated truck left the road shortly after 3am.
A stop and go system was in operation prior to the vehicle’s removal.
