A Walk will be held on Sunday 10th of August.
As this is a linear walk participants will meet at Glen Church (near Arigna) at 2.30pm and bring a smaller number of cars to near the site of The old Colliery House on Corry Mountain where we will start the walk at 3.00pm.
The walk will finish at Glen Church and will take about two and a half hours and will require a good level of fitness.
The walk would be described as challenging with about one kilometre of a steep path at the finish. It is about 10km long and will take us through parts of counties Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo.
The Walk is practically all off road and will cross Corry Mountain, the highest point in Co. Roscommon with some stunning views of Lough Allen and surrounding counties.
There will be a short break of at the Fr Tynan bridge.
Walking boots are essential. All are welcome. No charge.
