Two men with addresses in Limerick appeared before Sligo District court on Friday on charges of deception.
The men were arrested in Boyle on Thursday following complaints that individuals were calling around estates allegedly purporting to represent a reputable furniture company.
Two men were subsequently arrested and taken to Boyle Garda station and then Castlerea Garda Station for questioning.
They were brought before Sligo court on Friday and released on bail to appear before Carrick on Shannon District Court later this month.
Boyle Gardai issued an appeal here on Boyletoday.com on Thursday evening for information in relation to persons who were calling house-to-house selling furniture in the Boyle area in recent days.
