This Thursday’s Folk Club (9pm in Dodd’s Crescent Bar, Boyle) promises to be a real treat.
We are lucky enough to have Matteo Cullen perform for us.
Matteo has played and recorded with Donie O’Connor over the years and is a musician, recording artist and teacher currently based in Durrow, Co. Offaly.
He has lived in Ireland, Italy, the Middle East, Japan, and the UK, as well as travelling throughout Asia, Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean.
These experiences, interwoven with unique life circumstances, have shaped his musical interests and style.
Matteo performs a range of original songs, reflecting the diverse elements of his musicality, including reggae, jazz and blues, Irish traditional and country music.
He has recorded and released three albums, and is currently working on a new collection of songs. He also holds a doctoral degree in Irish popular music history.
