The man who died in a tragic accident in Frenchpark on Thursday evening has been named as Pat McCrann.
Mr McCrann was well known in the area having operated Pat McCrann Tyres in Sheepwalk for many years.
It is understood the accident took place at around 7pm on Thursday evening.
Emergency services attended the scene and the body of Mr McCrann was removed to Roscommon University Hospital.
