A man who was seriously injured in an accident at a house in Cloonfad on Monday afternoon has died from his injuries in hospital.
Patrick (Pa) Bowens sustained serious injuries after falling from a ladder while erecting exterior lights at his mother’s home in advance of her funeral.
Mrs Mary Bowens, who died unexpectedly on Sunday will be buried following her funeral Mass on Thursday morning.
Mr Bowens, who was in his 40’s was removed by helicopter from Roscommon to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
He died earlier today in hospital from his injuries.
