Gardai in Carrick on Shannon have confirmed that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the arrest of a man from Boyle last weekend.
The 19 year old was arrested at a checkpoint in Cortober in the early hours of Saturday morning last November 19th for alleged drug driving.
The car that the man was driving at the time was seized for a drug search.
Following the search, €1,500 worth of cannabis herb was found concealed in the vehicle.
