The N5 between Tulsk and Ballinagare reopened Friday evening following a serious road traffic collision earlier in the day.
A man was airlifted to University College Hospital, Galway with serious injuries following the multi vehicle collision which occurred shortly after 11.30am.
Fire Brigade units from Elphin and Strokestown attended along with the Gardai and ambulance service.
The conditions of others injured in the collision is not known.
