Boyle 2040 plan launches today
Minister for Communications, Climate Change and Environment Denis Naughten will formally launch the Boyle 2040 town plan today Monday October 1st.
The plan, which will see a rejuvenation of Boyle Town centre, has been the subject of extensive research and planning by Boyle Town Team in conjunction with Roscommon County Council Town Centre Planning Unit for the last two years.
It presents a framework for public realm enhancement to the north and west side of the town to include Main Street, Bridge St, St. Patrick Street and backlands of Boyle Town Centre.
The plan also includes a vision for the former Royal Hotel site and linkages to the proposed Lough Key to Boyle Greenway.
Speaking aheead of the launch, Brian Nerney, Chairman of Boyle Town Team said “The Team and the Council executives are really excited to have the opportunity today to announce to the public details of Boyle 2040. A number of facets of the plan needed to be in place before any launch or announcement took place and now that the jigsaw is nearly complete, we look forward to sharing with the public the plans that will provide a guide to future development and investment in the town of Boyle”.
Boyle 2040 will launch in King House on Monday October 1st at 4pm.
