Large drugs find in Geevagh

A 26 year old man was granted bail at a special sitting of Sligo District Court on Sunday morning in relation to a major drugs find in Geevagh on Friday evening.
Ballymote Gardai assisted by members of the Regional Drugs Unit searched a remote cottage near Geevagh following what is understood was a confidential tip off.
In a follow up raid on a house in nearby Ballygawley more drugs were found.
It is understood a large number of canabis plants were discovered in both searches with a combined value of over €60,000.
A file is presently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the find.
