Large crowds line the route for Boyle Parade

The weather held dry but chilly for what was one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day parades in many years in Boyle.

Crowds lined the route from early afternoon to see the many floats, community groups, clubs and businesses who took part in a parade that has been deemed “one of the best to date”.

The overall winner (€500 plus cup) was Boyle GAA, with Boyle Golf Club second overall (€200).

Ist Under 16 (€200 plus cup) was the Boyle Ladybirds, Brownies and Girl Guides while second U16 were Boyle Scouts (€100).

Best Vintage Vehicle was won by Joe Sweeney’s Camper Van

Best Shop Window was awarded to Cosgrove’s on St. Patrick Street.

The organisers of Boyle St. Patrick’s Day Parade would like to thank all who took part in the parade, the large numbers of spectators who came out on the day, the committee members and stewards, MC Mike Smith, Grand Marshal James Bolger, the reviewing stand members and all who helped in anyway to make the day such a success.
