Kilronan Castle wins gold and silver at awards ceremony
Kilronan Castle’s Douglas Hyde Restaurant won the overall award for ‘Ireland’s Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant’ at the recent Hotel and Catering Awards Ceremony
The restaurant saw off stiff competition to win the gold award with Ashford Castle receiving silver and bronze going to Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate.
The awards, which took place at a a gala ceremony in Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny also saw Kilronan Castle’s Head Chef Daniel Willimount take silver in the ‘Chef of the Year’ catagory.
And to wrap off a successful evening, Kilronan Castle took silver in ‘Ireland’s Four Start Hotel’ category.
The awards are the leading independent awards for the Irish hospitality industry and aim to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the hotel and catering sector throughout the country over the past twelve months.
