Irish TV reportedly cease production
There have been media reports over the weekend that production has ceased at Westport based Irish TV.
The station has been a great supporter of County Roscommon with it’s Monday Roscommon County Matters viewed by a global audience.
It has been reported that staff were informed of the decision on Friday as the station looks for new investors to secure it’s future.
Irish TV employs 150 people with 30 of the staff based in Westport.
The ststion broadcast on SKY 191 and Freesat and is due to be rolled out on Saorview later this year.
