Inaugural Boyle cyclo cross a success
Lough Key Forest Park was a hive of activity early Sunday morning when cyclists from all over Ireland descended on the Park for Round 4 of the Connacht Cyclo Cross league.
Race organiser and Curlieu Wheelers club secretary Enda Madden said he was delighted at the turn out and he thanked all those who assisted in marshalling the successful event and the management and staff in Lough Key Forest Park for their assistance.
All age groups participated on the day from under 10 to senior with Curlieu Wheelers member Conor Nerney representing the club in his first ever cyclo cross competition.
All participants spoke highly of the venue and the professional way the event was run.
It is hoped that Boyle will become a regular location for other cyclo cross events.
