‘In These Rooms’ exhibition continues in An Rioga

“In These Rooms” exhibition continues and is open to the public on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11am – 4pm and again on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 6pm until Sunday September 15th.

The exhibition, by artist Greer MacKeogh, officially opened on the 31st August at An Ríoga, Boyle and marks the closing of the former Royal Hotel, which played an important role in the lives of many local people.

‘In These Rooms’ brings together images, text, video and objects to understand how the Royal was treasured as a social space for locals and guests. It considers what lingers beyond dates and facts about this historic building, to examine the sedimented and ingrained stories and memories held within.

Roscommon County Council is delighted to support this exhibition as part of its ongoing commitment to fostering creativity and cultural expression within the community, made possible through the Creative Ireland Programme.
