One man was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon following the search of a number of a premises in the town.
The man was brought to Castlerea Garda Station for questioning.
Boyle Gardai, backed up by specialised units conducted the search of a number of houses in an ongoing drugs investigation.
During the search it is understood a quantity of suspected drugs valued at approximately €2000 were recovered and they have since been sent for analysis.
Gardai say investigations are continuing.
