A Dublin based garda has been arrested in Sligo and is being questioned about drug-related activity.
The woman, who is in her 30s and stationed in Dublin, was detained with a man in the town last night.
The arrests are part of an investigation by the Organised Crime Unit and Sligo gardai into a criminal gang in the northwest.
Both are being detained at Ballymote Garda Station and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
