The official opening of Higgins and Sons Funeral Directors new funeral home in Ballinameen took place on Sunday June 19th.
The ceremony was performed by Gerry Clarke, President of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors.
Rev Canon Gerry Hanly, Boyle, blessed the building.
The impressive and spacious new funeral home in Ballinameen village was the subject of favourable comment by those who attended the opening.
Established in 1969 by Martin Higgins (who was unavoidably absent at the opening) and now as a second generation of Funeral Directors, John and Marty embrace the growing and changing needs of clients by providing a unique brand of services including the following:
-Accommodate & welcome all Faith and Non Faith (Civil/humanist ceremonies)
-Seating for up to 60 people
-Celebration of life ceremonies (video set up available)
-Private family room with complimentary light refreshments
-Skype feed for people who live far away.
