Following on from celebrations for Canon Gerry and Fr. Brian comes news that another Priest with Boyle connections is soon to celebrate a mile stone in his ministry.
Fr Francis Glennon who is based in Oran in South Roscommon was attached to the teaching staff of the former St. Mary’s College in Boyle from 1965 – 1975 and he is soon to celebrate his Golden Jubilee.
Fr Glennon was ordained on June 18th 1964 and his 50 years of priestly ministry will be celebrated at a Golden Jubilee Mass on Sunday July 6th at 3pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Clooneycolgan followed by a reception in Clooneycolgan Community Centre.
