It has transpired that there are only four Boyle town properties listed on popular travel booking website www.airbnb.ie
Only one vacant house in the town centre is available for a selected random date of 17/6/16 to 24/6/16, while the remaing town centre properties are in exisiting bed and breakfast businesses.
Listed under the “Boyle area” are eight houses and rooms for the specified date. They range from properties in Cootehall, Frenchpark, Elphin and Lough Arrow to the aforementioned Boyle premises.
Airbnb is a company and website for people to list, find, and rent lodging. It has over 1,500,000 listings in 34,000 cities and 190 countries. Founded in August 2008 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, the company is privately owned and operated.
Airbnb’s primary source of revenue comes from service fees from bookings. Fees range between 6% and 12% depending on the price of the booking.
