Flooding closes rail line again
The rail line between Carrick on Shannon and Longford has closed again Saturday morning due to flooding with bus transfers in operation,
Trains are currently running from Sligo to Carrick and Longford to Dublin.
The closure will result in delays in the total journey time.
All other services are operating with some minor delays with the exception of the 16.00hrs Dublin to Sligo service which is cancelled.
There is no indication at present as to how long the closure will last.
Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused as a result of the flooding, and thanks customers for their patience in recent weeks.
