A section of the R285 road from the Ardcarne junction to Keadue is closed this morning following a fatal overnight road traffic accident.
The single vehicle collision occurred just after midnight at Glebe, Ardcarne.
A male passenger in his twenties was killed in the collision.
Two others in the car, both males in their thirties were brought to Sligo University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Diversions are currently in place.
Forensic crash scene investigators are due to arrive at the scene later this morning
The road will remain closed until the Wednesday afternoon at the earliest.
Motorists travelling on the N4 Boyle to Carrick on Shannon road are advised of delays also as temporary traffic lights are in place at the Ardcarne junction.
