Emergency services attend ‘incident’ in Boyle
Emergency services attended ‘an incident’ at Boyle river on Wednesday evening.
Boyle Fire Brigade, NAS Ambulance personnel, Boyle Gardai and Roads Traffic Policing units were in attendance shortly after 4.30pm.
The assistance of Strandhill based helicopter Rescue 118 was sought and was quickly on scene utilising it’s heat seeking equipment and search light on a section of the river.
According to a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana:
Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene of an incident at Boyle River in Boyle, County Roscommon, at approximately 4:30pm on Wednesday, 17th November, 2021.
One male was taken to Sligo University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
