As part of continuing efforts by Gardai in Boyle and surrounding areas to disrupt the activities of those involved in illegal drugs crime, Gardai attached to Boyle station, assisted by Gardai from the Castlerea District, carried out a search under warrant of a property in the Ballinameen area of Boyle on Friday March 19th.
As a result, controlled drugs, along with drug cultivation paraphernalia, were recovered with an estimated street value of approximately €4,300.
A man in his 40’s was arrested and taken to Castlerea station and detained under the provisions of section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984. He was later released from custody and file is currently being prepared for the D.P.P.
