€4.7m for Boyle to Roscommon road

Plans for further upgrade works to the N61 between Boyle and Roscommon received a boost this week with news that Transport Infrastructure Ireland has allocated €4.7m to Roscommon Co Co for works on the carriageway.
€4.3m has been allocated to the realignment and elimination of the dangerous bends at Coolteige north of Roscommon town.
A further €250,000 is earmarked for work between Clashaganny and Tulsk, while €140,000 will go to the Rathallen/Treanagry Realignment Scheme.
Roscommon Co Co has been awarded a total of €13,343,605 from TUI for national primary and secondary roads in the county in 2018.
