Kilronan Castle posts €2m profit
Kilronan Castle, the luxury hotel situated between Keadue and Ballyfarnon made a profit of €2m in 2015.
It’s sister hotel Lough Rynn outside Mohill posted a €173,602 profit for the same period.
Accounts filed for Kilronan Castle outline that accumulated losses reduced by €2m from €3.69m while it’s cash increased from €515,529 to €845,364.
The Castle’s employee numbers rose by 21 in the period to 149.
A note attached to each set of accounts for the hotels states that the directors have reviewed the operational forecasts of the company and are confident that following the restructuring process introduced by the new owners, the company will be in a position to meet it’s obligations as they fall due to trade profitably.
84 bedroomed Kilronan Castle Hotel & Spa features an indoor swimming pool. on-site spa and a fine dining restaurant – The Douglas Hyde, which offers a with a range of dishes made using locally sourced produce.
