€213k for non public roads in county
Roscommon Co Co has been allocated €213,258 in funding to improve non public roads in the county
The funds are in addition to the €208,000 allocated in September as part of the Local Improvement Scheme.
The monies will be used to repair and maintain heavily used shared laneways and access roads that connect homes, farms and businesses to the public road network.
In welcoming the funding Minister Denis Naughten said “These roads give access to homes, farmyards, agricultural land and business premises, and are heavily used, but because they fall outside of direct local authority control, many of these roads need urgent upgrading and improvement works.”
Senator Frank Feighan has also welcomed to allocation.
