Development planned for Knockvicar
Clarendon Lock in Knockvicar could be in line for a new development with planning permission being sought for a floating mooring and associated work.
Waterways Ireland intend to apply to the local authority for the following at Clarendon Lock, Kilteasheen, Knockvicar:
70m of floating mooring including a 6m length with lower freeboard for canoes and small boats, access gangway and service bollards providing lighting and water supply.
Construction of a new access plinth to be built off existing riverbed using 1-1.5 tonne rock stone infill.
An Ecological Impact Assessment, an Appropriate Assessment Screening and Archaeological Impact Assessment have been prepared in respect of the development.
